When Sarah reached out to Curtsy Ballroom, she told me her dream was to dance to the Crazy Rich Asians version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Kina Grannis. She’d always imagined walking down the aisle to that melody—and now, she wanted a first dance that felt just as cinematic.
But there was one twist—Brendan was stationed at Fort Sill.
We choreographed most of their dance in person, and one rehearsal was done virtually, with Sarah in Tennessee and Brendan tuning in from base. Despite the distance, they were both committed, joyful, and so open to learning. Over just five lessons, we created a dance that included dips, spins, and even a lift—bringing Hollywood elegance to their love story.
And on their big day? They nailed it.
Seeing Sarah and Brendan perform their first dance was a full-circle moment. I watched two people—who had never danced before—completely own the floor with confidence, connection, and joy. The energy in the room was electric. It wasn’t about perfection. It was about their story coming to life, beat by beat.
“Thanks to Morgan, we were able to showcase her beautiful choreography in front of all our guests. I was so proud of us for nailing the choreography and I cannot thank Morgan enough for preparing us for that moment. I cannot recommend her enough to all future brides in the Nashville area.”

One of my favorite parts of working with Sarah and Brendan was how personal everything felt. Their DJ—Richard Goldbach (aka DJ Opik)—actually deployed with them and flew in from Texas just to spin tracks at the wedding. Music brought them together, and they wanted their guests to feel that same connection.
They danced the night away surrounded by family, friends, and the memories that started at a music festival on the other side of the world.
